Title: Service History Tracing

I have just bought a RHD UK 230SL requiring some work which was registered in 1966 with a registered mileage of 69,000. There is no service book with the car but I have a lot of history in the form of bills and MOT certificates dating back to 1979 when the mileage was 40,011. Prior to this there were 3 keepers but I have no more mileage information or owner details. I would guess that the 40,000 miles covered in 13 years by 3 owners is credible but before I start spending Pagoda money does anyone know how I can get the cars early history to confirm my assumptions? Any help appreciated. Neil

When I bought mine, DVLA provided names, addresses and date changes for a fee of £5.00
This was in 2001. Don't know if they still do it. ???

Check their website. I guess they can check that you are the present registered keeper.
