Title: Engine mounts

I am in the middle of a major smash repair from late last year. The front suspension is out and therefore will be reconditioned - as you do. I have all the bits from SLS inc the two engine mounts (I know, not suspension but close enough) however I cannot identify the function of two items that arrived with the engine mounts. They came with the rubber mounts inc the mounting bolts with allen key heads and the plate that sits on the chassis leg to limit vertical rebound but also in the same package were two rubber rings about 2.5inches in dia with a hole in the middle - they look a bit like a hat or small pie. Each one fits neatly into the hole in the chassis that sits immediately below the centre of the mounts.

The SLS web site shows an extra plate as part of the engine mount kit but even if that had arrived I would still be at a loss.

Any ideas?

Perfect - just like the old saying - a picture saves a thousand words. Just to confirm though- does this mean there are two bolts - one from the top to hold the arm to the mount, and the one from the bottom as per your picture,  to limit vertical movement?

The lower bolt is special. The length of the threads on the bolt and the length of the bolt itself allow it to only screw in a certain distance before it locks in place.
