Title: Silver Windshield Wiper replacements; Where to buy?

Hello All,
I recently purchased a 69 280sl that has black windshield wipers, which I am looking to replace with silver ones. Does anyone know where to source these? Ive had trouble finding them on the usual places (Miller, etc.)

I bought NOS chrome ones for my 230 on e-bay,shipped from Poland, around $40 US total for the pair.

Are you sure that black is not correct for your year?
They did drop the chrome ones around 68/69 I think.

I thought they would be satin finish and not chromed. The change from chrome coming with the big (DOT etc) mid year change for 250 SL,  vin ending with 2980.

No, that's not correct.
The chrome polished (i.e. stainless steel wiper blades) were replaced with silver painted (stainless steel) wiper blades from the late 250 on (VIN 002980). The appearance changed once again for the later 280ies (to skinny wiper blades from serial 001200 on) but even those were never black but silver.

Black ones are always later style aftermarket replacements - even from Bosch.
The original (late) ones were available until recently from the dealers: A113 820 05 45, currently NLA.
