Title: 100.000 kilometers

Had the pleasure of seeing all the numbers in the odometer flip at once from 99999 to (1)00000 - took a lot of concentration to go in a straight line on the highway and document this epic moment at the same time... ::)
Although I only have history going back to the mid-eighties, I believe the mileage to be genuine.

BTW, does anybody know what the field with the red/white stripes on the left side of the speedo means?

I thought it might be a European (?German) suburban speed limit.

It works for me in Perth, Western Australia, where our suburban speed limits are 50 and 60 kmh
