As I get ready for my first do-it-yourserlf service to my 1970 280SL , I'd like to ask for a little help in choosing the most popular and readily available filters (oil, air and fuel), as well as a good oil brand and weight. I drive fewer than 1K miles per year and I live in Boulder, CO. Finally, I change oil/filter once a year, air filter every five years and fuel filter every three years. If at all possible, at least the oil filter, I want to buy it locally.
TIA

Get some good quality filters especially the oil filters. Mann, Knecht, Mahle, Hengst are some good ones. Some seals come with the oil filter kit, order the other three rubber o-rings. Check the tech manual for all the details and part numbers.
