I finally got a copy of the current MB Classic mag, and was surprised to find a very interesting article about the Pagoda. Not a lot of new information about the car, but a good human interest story about a son who was promised his Dad's 280 SL, then saw it sold (due to collision) and finally re-acquired it.
One very cool little tidbit was the hardtop with the sunroof; showing a small drain port in the C pillar of the hard top.
The owner also had a second set of white painted hubcaps that he puts on when the hard top is off the car (hard top is gray).
Very nice.

a few pics of a hard top with sunroof showing drain hole.
not from the magazine mentioned.

Bob, very nice shots, where were they taken?

Hey Johnny,
I have no idea.
I saw them on the net and copied them into my reference file.
There are some other sunroof hard top pics showing the interior and the opening/closing handle.

Hi, Jonny,
I beleive the pix were tahen at Techn Classica Essen in 2008.
(P.S: I just found the article. IT confirms the car was at Essen in 2008)
