Im still looking for a source to re-manufacture a metal data plate that was lost during paint/restoration. Any updates from anyone else that's been looking for a source? Thanks, Mark

Mark,
There are several kinds of data plates.
I believe all cars had the plate on the LH inner fender.
Earlier cars had one on the firewall.
Later US cars had one on the front left lower door jamb.
Which do you speak of?

The painted, stamped metal plate located on the fender. Thanks, mark

Mark,
I found a guy who can emboss plates.
I have purchased a door-jamb data plate blank from a supplier after rejecting same from another supplier. Both were to be engraved rather than embossed, but in my search for more accuracy searched an found an embosser. He can emboss both 1/8" and 1/4" letters/numbers; the latter might be perfect for the fender data plate.
Do you have the exact data you want embossed? I have the basic dimensions and layout here on my car. I'll see if it can be duplicated.

I do have all of the information from my original plate. Can you send me a photo of your new plate? I'm definitely interested, thanks. Mark

I will post a photo of my new plate when it arrives. First it has to get here, then it has to go out for embossing. Remember THIS plate is NOT the plate you are looking for...
PM me with your information, I'll send a photo of my fender plate with your data to the embossing guy and see if it can be done.
UPDATE 8/17: Artwork arrived by PDF this morning and looks fabulous. Embosser is ready to go. Just awaiting production...
