Title: Cabin air filter????

Is this installed correctly?  The old one was in bad shape so I want to make sure.

There is supposed to be a wire retainer (at least that is what mine had). It makes several "x" patterns over the whole filter.
Is there anything holding your filter down or in?

The wire is on the underside.  It seems to fit in the tabs on the fire wall.

Mine also had clips at either end of the filter to hold it down.  What are you using as a filter?

I bought it from the classic center.  The new ones have plastic rivits in the end of the wire.  They broke as soon as I tried to install it so I put in some aluminum rivits and it seems OK.  Does the placement in my first picture look correct?

Yes, looks correct.  Secured at either end and sits on the wire crisscrossing the opening.
