Title: Crankshaft damper
Post by: wwheeler on July 06, 2011, 16:26:06
Do most people typically replace the crankshaft damper after 40+ years? Being that it is a rubber sandwich, it would seem that the rubber would degrade like all the other engine compartment rubber.

Thanks!

I haven't had any problems with them. If it looks damaged then I would get another one.

I just discoverd that mine is worned and must to be replaced. A new one cost € 540,- (in Holland). I found a used one in good conditions for € 150,-.
