Title: softtop cover release handle

Does anyone know how to remove the softtop cover release handle? I'm redoing the carpeting and need to remove this in order to remove / replace the carpet on the rear panel.

It's been a while, but what I think I remember is that it is done from the inside of the top compartment. Hope that helps. If my memory is faulty someone will correct it.

That`s correct.  I just removed mine yesterday.  See the photo.
