Hi,

Try EuroCar Parts or GSF (German and Swedish).

You will need to know the Bosch # of the distributor to get the correct cap.

This may help to identify parts:

Mercedes arent to bad on the price of these parts.. The rotor arm is only £5 from the dealer, the cap is a bit more but still not that bad.
Leads are terrifically expensive from the dealer though! I got mine from Euros.

Euro Car Parts will supply Beru replacement parts which are just as good and around half the price of the main dealer.

Do you have the Euro Car Part reference numbers?
For cap and ignition lead set?

I always fit genuine MB ignition parts. I've had too many issues using aftermarket parts.

This is for a 280SL with the cast iron distributor

Mercedes dealer: Distributor Cap A0001585302, Rotor Arm A0001582031

Euro: Distributor Cap "Beru"  euro no 404110040, Rotor Arm "Beru" euro no 405220050

In all honesty I think the Beru parts are just as good if not better than the dealer supplied Bosch items and the euro car parts cost is around 25% of the dealer!

Euro may supply Bosch items if you ask them too but Beru is OEM and i noticed some items on the car were originally made by Beru anyway.
