New to the forum. Wanted a Pagoda my whole life. Just got my 67 230sl running right, and it's finalliy seeing some sunlight and roads. I have a unusual color combination. Thanks to the tech manual so I can understand the tag on the inner fender. I have a 670H body and a 408G hardtop and wheel covers. Anybody else out there with the same?

Light Ivory body, Havana Brown Hard Top...sounds like a very nice combination.
Let's see a photo with the Hard Top on if you have one.
What color is the soft top?
Do you have the Data Card? Are these the original colors?

Thanks Richard. No data card, the technical manual on the site helped decode the fender tag. USA car, automatic, power steering, power brakes, h-d radiator. Is the data card mounted somewhere, or is it a in the glove box or gone thing? Photo to follow. Only been "live" a couple of days.

Welcome Dave (oooh, I have come over all Space Odyssey...)
The Data Card is a "send off for" item from the Classic Centre in Irvine. It's the full spec of the car/options, much of which you have clearly already gleaned from your fender plate
The Tech Manual will explain the what's and hows of that too. But as they say, a picture paints....

That's funny. My 71' 280SL is all dark brown with cognac interior. Though I like the color, like the 904 blue I think dark colors suit sedans better. I was thinking of painting the body Ivory while keeping the hard top and the hubcaps brown. I was about to start a new topic to know if such a combination ever existed when I read this one. Anyway, my question now is to know if color combinations (and this one in particular) were still offered in '71, or were they only offered on earlier models?
Thanks!
