Last week was pretty funny - we were shooting a series of new commercials for the Great Belt Bridge that ties the two main part of Denmark together, the last of the films is about a family stuck in a traffic jam in their tired little Fiat Uno that all of a sudden transforms into a Mercedes 220SE Convertible that takes off, flies over the bridge, the traffic jam etc. - all to the tunes of a Mary Poppins-inspired song that will probably annoy the **** out of most people this summer. The shoot was done in a hangar on an abandoned Royal Danish Air Force base on a giant green-screen and will be superimposed on some great road footage as well as a helicopter shot. As my wife had impounded the daily driver, I had to drive my Pagoda the whole week, which was really nice since the weather was great and the locations were situated close to some really spectacular, winding roads with great scenery - I put almost 500 kilometers (310 miles) on the car during the week without a glitch. I have snapped a few pics of the process (had a hard time holding the camera steady when the fork lift lifted the entire front of the car) and I will post a YouTube link to the film once we're done with the editing, CGI, voice-overs, grading, scanning etc, etc...
After a week like that, being back at the office really sucks :-)
Enjoy!

A few more :-)

Whoops, apparently it's a 250 SE, not a 220 - it is not for sale, but the website states that offers of 74k USD will be considered

Terrific Pics... When and where can we see the commercial?
-
It will air on national TV here in Denmark during the summer as the last of a series of 4 films, but hopefully I will have a copy posted (secretly) on YouTube late May - I'll link to it here once I have it :-)

Here's the final result - hasn't aired yet, but it will most likely be the most annoying commercial this summer ;)

Nice work Ulf. What was your involvement?
-
Thanks Ray, I'm a copywriter/creative director with the advertising agency :-)

Waw, a great job Ulf.
Can you copywrite your Pagoda into the next commercial? It looks like she deserves it.
Greetings,
Erik

She could surely use the money :-)

I have NO clue what the thing is trying to sell...

It's an automated payment device that you stick to the windscreen - then you can drive straight through without waiting in line and the fare is deducted directly from you credit card :-)
