Title: Fixings for Beauty Rings

I have just purchased some original beauty rings for my 2.3 1966 SL Pagoda. On my car the wheels are white, when I fix on my beauty rings you can still see the black fixing brackets, should these fixings be painted white or should they be left black.

Keith, do you have a picture of what you mean?  I do not see the brackets on mine when the rings are in place.

I just went to take a look at mine. I can see the very tip of the retaining clips. That is the way they have been since I have had the car. They are not painted, but finished in black.
