Can anyone tell me the cost to replace a softtop?
thanks!

Assuming your soft-top frame needs little or no adjusting, and that you use a high-quality German Canvas top (GAHH), and that it is installed by a qualified auto upholstery guy -- I'd say around 1300.

Agree with the $1300 figure - that's about what I paid - think it was $1250. I also got a GAHH soft top. My installer almost insisted that I use the GAHH top - told me it would cost less in the long run. It was good advice!

My car is having a new top installed (GAHH) this week will , €1200,--
So even close to Germany does not make it cheaper :)

Hi Rick, after having done all that welding etc on your car yourself i am surprised you did not
fit your own soft top! I did mine last year, it is not that difficult, if only I could weld like you........ :-\

Had mine done last year after some idiot slashed the old one (it was due for replacement anyway, but still) - it was around 2800 USD, so if you can get away with 1300, go for it!

Well Larry your right it seems not that difficult to do , but everybody has his specialty . Mine is metalwork ( for an amateur that is ) and not fitting a soft top good and tight on a car :)
Btw mine is not GAHH but a German top from Stuttgart , don't know the brand name but it's supposed to be the best in the trade ( so my upholsterer says ) .Brought my car over there today and I saw the quality and they showed me the difference , and I must say I was pleased with my choice . Will be finished next Saturday ( will post some pictures later , and check for brand-name )

Probably KHM (cabrio.de). They are near Stuttgart and have a very good reputation.
