Title: storage compartment floorboard c clips
Post by: rmmchl on March 13, 2011, 08:54:25
on each of the 2 back storage compartments, there is a metal piece with a hole in it, that sits on the carpet. there is a corresponding hole in the floorboard. Did a black plastic piece used to be here? I think I had one on one side years ago and it broke. does anyone sell this? Am I remembering this correctly, or does a bolt go in there?

Not sure if this is what you are referring to or not but there is two thumbscrews that hold the back compartment covers down.

SLS in Germany still sells them but at a price of 13 Euro's each (and it looks like it is chromed).

If I'm not mistaken and others can correct me if I'm wrong on this one, the part number would be N000 464 006 000.
This number is valid at the Classic Centre and is still available.

They're definately not chrome plated. Look to be zinc plated from what I've seen.

I agree. Zinc or Cadmium but not chrome.

Didn't mean to confuse everybody, but I am aware that these should not be chrome plated. My comment was about the screw shown in the photo used by SLS that looks a bit too shiny...
