I have my front crossmember out as part of a full rebuild. I have purchased new engine shocks (mountings). My problem is in refitting the shocks, the lower bolt has a cupped washer that sits over the lower rubber mount. This cupped washer does not fit however into the large hole in the crossmember. Is this normal? When I tighten the two allen bolts, it seems to compress this cupped washer against the crossmember, which seems a bit strange. The cupped washer does fit snuggly over the lower rubber mount, and seems correct.

Thanks for reply. I think problem is solved. When I was shotblasting the components, I seem to have mixed up the Cupped washer from the top of the connection between the cross member and the body. I assumed they were from the engine mount. They fit perfectly the lower rubber bushings. I removed them last night, and installed the mounts as per the thread. I now have engine back on the crossmember.
