Title: threshold aluminum (chrome)

when replacing my carpet, I was thinking on polishing , or even replacing the threshold chrome, located on top of the rocker shelf, at each door . ( the carpet tucks into a slot in it) It gets pretty scuffed and dented up over the years. Are these still available, and does anyone have any idea the going price per each one?

That stuff is readily available. Figure on close too 900 clams for all four pieces. Maybe 800 if you find somone with NOS.

Mine were likewise dented and scratched.  Once I saw the prices for the new replacement pieces, I decided to go to "Plan B" which was to take the parts to a metal plating shop.  They straightened out the dents and polished away the scratches for about $200.00 total. The look was not perfect but completely satisfactory.  For $700.00 in savings I can live with slightly less than perfect.
