Yes, in a barn,I an to meet with the farmer this pm and discuss the price for this car, parked for 15 years, all the glass is ok, no body damage, stick shift on floor, minimal rust, interior is shot, but the seat frames are there and a key in the ign., It has hub caps and both tops, a us del car.Dash is in MPH, spare in trunk. I have two question's what should i offer?(he needs space for the tractor...I think a 80 percent chance he Will sell it for $500...or less. This would by my first project car what build budget should I set aside for a daily driver?? Any ideas would be great, and thanks in advance.

Your main problem may be rust. But at $500, or evn $2000, you're not taking any risks. If the car reveals to be unretaurable the soft top frame alone may go for $2000 or more.

Hi Guys, Thanks for welcoming a “newbie” to the forum. On the 230sl the update…now that I showed an interest in purchasing the car, his wife has decided that she would like “her car” fixed and running.
No deal right now, however I will stay close and wait.
Oh, you will love this; the 230sl is a great barn find, not run for the last eight years sitting in a barn. This car needs everything ….so what do you think the owner is planning to have done right away….that’s right ….paint the car!
Bright dodge white.
A perfect complement to the rotted out blue interior.
I think I found another 1977 6.9, the game is afoot…
