Hello
I am replacing all the male and female ball joints in the regulating linkage. The old male studs must be bored out since they are originally machined in place. The new ones have a 5mm thread and nut. I have changed all but the one on the lever on the injection pump. This must be bored from the side, and there is not much room. It may be possible to use a small 90 deg. bore chuck adapter, but it seems easier to pry the lever off. It is very hard to see how the lever is attached to the IP, and there must be some kind of fastening device. Anybody knows?

Hello knirk,
Do not pry the lever off. Linkages in the pump will fall out of position and get jambed when the car is started. Someone on the list just did this and had to send the pump out to be rebuilt!

Thanks Joe,
Then I will get a 90 deg. chuck and bore it out from the side.
