Hi,
Are these wiper arms correct on my (Nov 1967) 250SL?
Thanks,
Chris.

Chris,
Arms look fine. The only arms you can now get from MB to replace is the ss not the chrome type. Can't tell from photo about the blades for correctness. Also, your passenger side arm is in correct position,(passenger over driver side arm).

You'll see from the photos that it's a RHD, so driver's side over passenger side is correct!!
Looks like you've got black wipers as against silver ones (exact material is not necessarily relevant). Silver ones were the standard fit but are NLA so black ones have to be substituted unless you or the garage who does your work are prepared to go out of their way to find period correct ones.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong but the wiper arms should also be a shiny polished chrome. Only US cars (later versions only maybe ???) had brushed chrome. Silver wiper blades are occasionally available on e-bay. I picked up a pair last year. ;D

Check out these stainless wiper blades.

The polished chrome wiper arms and blade retainers is a feature of the earlier cars irrespective of the market where the car was initially sold.
If I remember correctly, the matt finish wiper arms featured from August 1969 onwards and the shape of the rubber blade has also changed at the same time.
