Title: Pagoda on UK TV
Post by: rob walker on January 07, 2011, 19:24:28
I have just seen a advert for a UK TV program called antiques roadshow where 2 antique collectors go around the country buying and selling antiques, with the person making the most money the winner.
It seems all week they are driving a Pagoda!

Just watched the second part, super coverage of the Pagoda, it is a 1964-5 230SL manual in what looks to be Papyrus White.

Rob

It sounds like you've been watching daytime telly..... get ye back to Spanish Spain or somewhere to cure you of this ailment

After you've recorded the series, edited out the rubbish and posted it on Youtube, of course

Just watched the program. It was said to be a 1965 car.
It has, however, a registration plate ending in B, indicating it was registered first time in  1964.
(My first car was a B-registered Mini)
Perhaps a late -64 registration, making it a -65 model.

Gear box being mistreated by the driver, and right brake light not working.
(Does this make me a Pagoda nerd?  :) )

2 second appearance on "Relocation, Relocation..." last night... property was somewhere on the Devon/Somerset border; car looked to be in process of being restored. Anyone we know?
