Mike,
They are short fat chrome plated screws with wood screw type threads.
There are 6 of them, 4 for bottom and 2 for top, all have chrome plated washers.

Hello,

I can also add that they are "oval Head" sheet metal, chrome plated about 1/2" in length.  They are very similar or the same as the chrome screws which hold the chrome vent opening in place behind the hood in front of the windscreen. The washers are a typical Mercedes funnel shape chrome upholstery washer .

Parts catalog (10202) lists the following:

007981 004325  Screw 4 x

007981 004318  Screw 4 x
007982 003209  Screw 2 x
007981 004325  Screw 2 x
000 985 1062     Washer 2 x

All norm parts (DIN, ISO) with the exception of the washers but I "believe" those are common parts as well despite their special MB number.

Don't know from the list which ones are chromed and which ones are not. It's a long while ago I disassembled the glove box.
Walter surely knows better.
