Title: SunVisor color ?
Post by: n/a on April 23, 2004, 15:54:48
I am redoing the interior red leather. Has anyone seen a red interior with red sunvisors? Or are they always done in white? Any ideas?

They're supposed to be (off-) white - there MAY have been one or two other colors, I'm not entirely sure. Mine have been died the same color as the interior (dark blue) by the PO and the paint is coming off a bit. I happen to like them in the same color as the interior, but that's most likely not original.

Mine are the same burgundy color as my interior.   I assumed it came that way though I understand they should have originally matched the headliner.   I would definitey prefer the matching ones.  Looks good with the top down.

I have 834 Moss Green interior. I replaced my worn out visors last year and they were "off-white" - so that's what I got. I didn't even think that they may have looked better in the same color as the interior.

I looked through the "Original Mercedes SL" book, and all the pictures showed "off-white" sun visors except on page 78. Here is a grey interior shown with grey sun visors. On the next page another grey interior is shown with the "off-white" again. So I am not shure what the correct match would be.

I used the Search feature and found this related thread:

www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=1347

I think it would be very helpful to people looking for info if that info could be found in fewer threads.  Instead of starting a new thread with every question that comes to mind, please search on the topic and continue an existing thread if possible.

This is nothing personal against SD280SL, I see members do this on a weekly basis.  It's just a suggestion to help organize information for future reference.  Now, off my soap box!   ;)
