We see so much effort and care being taken in trying to reproduce all the correct color codes on all of the nuts and bolts. I myself am trying to stick as close as possible to the original look during my restoration, and I have many but not all documented during my own disassembly. I believe it would be a great project for all of us to contribute pictures of any of the correct marks that we are sure about in sort of a photographic tour. Anyone interested in contributing? We could group the images and have a photographic atlas in the technical manual. The motoringinvestments website calls it dotology. I like the term. Maybe we can use it with permission? If not, then I suggest we use "Dotography".. You can email me if you are interested in contributing images and suggestions

Look at my pictures. The previous owner took great pains to replicate any original markings. Dotology is not a copyrighted term.

I posted a topic on dotology a while back.

looked for a thread but somehow I missed it. I also have a lot of the markings on my own pictures, but I don't see one area that someone can reference that shows them all....understanding that on the springs for example there may be differences and even frome model yaer to model year there may be some as well
