Title: Wheel paint

Hi everyone . just thinking of refurbishing my wheels they are scratched where the leaver touches when taking off the centre cap,they are also scratched where the outer ring retaining clips contact the wheel these clips are quite aggressive,my question is,whate the point if it happens staight away when you put the cap and ring back on,is there any paint that would have a better chance of success. Mike, based upon your description you have the 230SL 2-piece wheel covers, and wheels.

The clips that hold the one-piece wheel covers on, are available with a cushion to prevent just the damage you are talking about.  I have a set on my wheels...after they got a little mangled, I'm afraid...
