Title: Back From The Dead

Some may recall that I celebrated last Mother's Day by setting my 68 Euro 280sl on fire during a fuel filter change.  I have already expressed how pleased I've been with the way that Hagerty has handled the claim, even paying for the transport from Spokane to Calabasas, CA. I wanted to be sure to give special recognition and thanks to Scott Melnick and his guys, thanks to all, at Auto Engineering & Classic Mercedes Benz for bringing my car back. All remnants of the fire are gone and the pictures I've attached taken with a very poor quality digital camera can't begin to do justice to the fine work they performed. My girlfriend and I picked up the car last Thursday and drove it back to Spokane over 1600 miles through Carmel, Lake Tahoe, and Ashland, OR. Car performed flawlessly. Scott did the insurance work and a number of other needed repairs and was nothing short of a pleasure to deal with.  Anyone needing any service on a 113, or any classic Mercedes needs to talk to Scott.  818-222-1800  Tried to attach pics but took up too much space.  Can someone tell me how to post these jpegs w/in size allotments?

Glad to hear things worked out for you!

You can use quite a few programs, including Windows Paint, to reduce the pic or use the method described below....

Go to www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) and set up a free account very quickly. You can then easily upload you pics to the site under your account.

Below is an image of a photobucket feature the that allows you to insert a link to the pic in your post. It's easy, quick and what I used for this example.

Linking an image to another website is not recommended. If the other site closes down or moves, the image is lost forever. Better if the image is uploaded to this website.

Reduce the image size so the longest side is maybe 650 to 850 pixels then use the "Reply" button near the bottom of the message page.

This takes you to an input page with "Additional Options" below the Reply window.

"Additional Options"  allows you to click on "Attach". Use this to browse your harddisk to find the image to be uploaded. Can repeat for more images.

When the Reply is Posted , the images will also be uploaded..and they will be safely at home on our website.

and this - taken yesterday, ignore the date on the pic I have as much trouble changing it on the camera as I do trying to post pics on the forum

You could say that without fear of contradiction
