Title: how many winds on the torsion rod ?

mine keeps slipping out of the holder. I wound it once. It doesn't ssem like it could wind 2 revolutions. Does anyone know why mine keeps slipping out. The hood won't stay open. I have to get out the broomstick

Maybe the plastic holder has worn out.
