I am looking for an internal wiring diagram for the Europa MU, does anyone out there have one?
Thanks
Garry

Hi--
Also, check this out, with particular reference to Sams Photofact books that may be on file at your local library.

Hi Garry,
you can download wiring diagrams for older Becker radios here:
http://www.beckerautosound.com/Classic/classics_wiring_info.htm
-
Thanks Joe and Alfred, but unfortunately none of those sites actually have the internal wiring diagram. One has the rear of the radio so I checked the local library here and again no luck with Sams Photofacts unfortunately

Hi Garry,
here is another source but it costs money:
http://www.koenigs-klassik-radios.de/documents/circuit-diagram/becker-europa/
Careful, there are several Europa models!

I've sent you a mail...

Thanks for that Peter,
Another beer owed,

Did you receive it, I got bounce messages on the e-mail?

Hi Peter,
Yes I got it thanks. I also got a reject on reply to your message, don't know why but alls good.

Hello all!
Hi Peter,
Yes I got it thanks. [...]
Garry
It's always great (perfect) if he help each other with whatever we can do... ;)
However, in case of the beckerradio wiring diagrams please make sure (or be aware, Garry) that the radios changed/improved over the years as did our cars. :o
There are serial numbers on the radios, something like H18335 or L56521 or equivalent ... and the wiring diagrams take account of these different ranges of serial numbers together with their changes. ???
Since the Europa transistor radio was ... somehow ... built roughly between 1964 and 1980 a wide array of different models are around. It does only make sense if you have the correct plan - at least for the details.
Good luck
Achim
(who had at least four different Becker Mexico Cassette wiring diagrams in the past)

I'll drink Garry's beer at the European Event anyways!

Thanks for advice Achim its noted,
The radio is on a bench 300km away so I have not been able to check the numbers but I have emailed thru the diagram. An aircraft radio tech friend who is going to have a look at it is still in Switzerland and due back at the end of the month so will not get to look until next month. Meanwhile I am also picking up a working radio whilst at the Euro event that Naj is bringing from UK that I have obtained from another forum member. And if that was not enough I also brought off eBay a few days ago a complete set of documentation for a Becker MU 1970 (my car was 69!) so will have to now wait until it is opened and see if it all matches one way or the other. Given that my radio has not worked for several years, another couple of months wait wont hurt.
Peter, pity having a beer was not in celebration for winning the cup :'(

Hello Gary,
I am jumping into this thread a little late, but if all else fails I have the original wiring schematics for the Becker Europa TR-MU and the Becker Europa MU. I can send a copy if you like.
-
Thanks for the offer Joe,
I have got one wiring diagram from Peter van Es that I believe is the TR-MU and have just today received a second one for the MU together with manual that I got from eBay so I think I have enough for my friendly radio expert to check it out.
if all else fails, I have Naj bringing the innards of a working radio to the Euro event that I will bring home either to use or put away as a spare.
Regards
Garry
