Having problems with my transmission, when i press the accelerator pedal all the way down, the gears will not shift, and the gears will not kick down going uphill, i have to manually shift the gears down to get speed, anyone got any ideas . This is a brand new rebuilt transmission, must have missed something in the adjustment stage?

Check your wiring, most likely the switch under the gas pedal may not be working or the switch on the intake may need adjustment. Read this site and you will probably discover your problem http://www.mercedesdismantlers.com/16BoltInstallationInstructions.html

Hello,
Sometimes the plug on the kickdown switch corrodes and looses contacts. Check your fuses. Watch to see if the three position solenoid moves when you activate the kickdown switch.

I test the kick down switch and the venturi throttle switch system with the key in and the engine off. With the fuel pump running, I push the accelerator all the way to the floor and listen for the 3 position solenoid to snap into kick down position. I then return the pedal to the idle position and listen for the solenoid to snap into the idle postion.
I do this a few times while am I letting the fuel pump run before I start the engine.
