'66 230 SL just replaced the torque converter( the original one split into two ) with a used one .
And now i can see after driving , then on the driveway transmission fluid dripping through the torque converter grill.
The more faster or more agressive the car has been driven the more fluid would leak and then stops.
What is happening? I have changed the front seal of the converter?
ANy ideas. Thanks in advance for any help !

OK. Today took the transmission out again.
Looks like the transmission leak is not coming from the rivets of the fluid coupling but
comes from the center where the fluid coupling connect with the transmission.
What could be happening?
I have replaced the seal around the fluid coupling last time .
Could it be the front pump seal ? That I have not replaced and any info would be greatly appreciated!

This may be a little too late, but from your photographs i think that you have fitted the seal too far in the housing (it should stand a little proud).

Front transmission leaks are normally caused by one of four things t; a bad front seal, a bad large o-ring seal (around front pump housing), leaking rivets (fill valley with water and check with air pressure), or a worn or damaged front pump bushing ( the front pump bushing is right behind the front seal and is normally a even grey color (if the base bronze metal is showing, it may be bad or worn).
The front bushing is not available from Mercedes but is supplied by some transmission part sources.
I think ioang26 has already solved his problem.
