was at the mall and the car would not start.
had some tools with me . took a spark plug out and it was dry.had a spark as the engine was turning over.I unscewed the line going from the IP to the cold start valve and fuel was gushing out when turning over.unpluged a fuel line going from the IP to a injector and hardly any fuel was going out???
I must have turned the engine to try to start it for over 10 min .
at that point should the spark plugs be wet with gas or still dry?
the fuel pump was turning with the key on.
than all of a suden the car started and run fine.
I do not know where to start.
Thanks

Same happened to me stranded and it was ignition related.

Hello Eric,
Yes very little fuel comes out ot the injection lines. I would guess ignition related. Check the point gap. Also, next time remove the coil wire and hold it closte to ground and see if it sparks.

I removed a spark plug and turned the engine over and has a spark.is this the same thing as holding the coil wire to ground?
can this be vapor lock?I did not drive much today and it was not very hot out.
Thanks

One other thing I did when stranded was to remove the gas cap. There was a whoosh when opened but of course didn't solve my problem. I am also not sure if this would of helped at all but it was one of the things I was told to do with my ML.
