stuck in London i stumbled on the UK MSN site.
they list the top 50 most beautiful cars.
http://cars.uk.msn.com/features/photos.aspx?cp-documentid=148049476&page=26 (http://cars.uk.msn.com/features/photos.aspx?cp-documentid=148049476&page=26)
The Pagoda is listed at no. 26.
I love a lot of these cars, in addition to the pagoda of-course. My all time favorite although is is way out of reach is the 1960 - 1964 Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California.
I know that many will not agree with the list, as many cars are missing and they have selected 2 Peugeot's for God's Sake!!! No comments.

Dean, thanks for sharing! I'd put our car into the top 10 of the top 50, but then again I may be a little biased. Hang in their in your travels, I just had my trip back to the US canceled. (4 hours before take-off!)

Hi Steve,
Agree that our car should be in the top 10.
Where are you stuck?
-
Well I'm not really stuck. I have an apartment in Shanghai and a house in Houston. So my trip back home to Houston will just be delayed for a few weeks while everything sorts out. At least I have a second home to stay in!

Steve,

The Pagoda is listed at no. 26.
Two wing mirrors and all that chrome! Does it belong to anyone here?

There was an article in Classic & Sportscar a few months back comparing a 300 SL roadster with the 250 LWB California, great reading with nice pics
-
How the Lotus Elan beat out the 113 is beyond me....
-
.......maybe it should have been called: " 50 of the most INTERESTING cars"......
-
Lists like this are always strange. How could they leave out the BMW 3.0CS, IMO one of the most beautiful cars of all time?!? This is like leaving the Philadelphia Orchestra out of the list of the top 20 orchestras, as did the 2008 Gramophone Magazine survey of classical music critics.

How can you leave my 3.0CSI out? I guess a 1937 MB 540k is not in their list..hell, I am surprised they left the YUGO out!

540K? Now that's a REAL classic! The BMW isn't but it IS a milestone car.
I had a ride in a 500K special bodied roadster once. Kind of like diving a tractor, a really old one......fantasic car though. If you go to the 190SLweb site and click on to, '' Tom's trip out west '' you can see several pics of this car. I believe it's in the Kemp museum in St. Lious MI.

i wouldnt argue that the jaguar e type is the most beautiful car ever but the pagoda should be in the top ten for sure
