ok it works - i entered my info but hit enter key by mistake.
i did not include the options
how do you edit the table??
-
Edit? You may have to have the Admin remove your record and then you can add it correctly. I don't see an Edit button.

The edit button is on the far right - off the screen actually. So you need to use the slide bar on the bottom of the screen to expose it. You will only see an edit button on the records you yourself added. The same proecedure applies to the databases table entries.
Oh, and I suppose you have to be logged in.
There are some 80 entries in there already (not counting a few duplicates) - if you have not done so already, please take a moment to add your info.

I have logged in but it just keeps coming back with error code 505 and "Page cannot be displayed "
It asks for name and password, should that be my logged name(Ben), or does it matter ?

Here's the way the Car Registry is supposed to work...and it worked this way when we test it.
Anyone can enter a car in the Registry...do not have to be a dues paying Full Member. This was done to encourage everyone to register their car so we learn about as many cars as possible.
When an entry is made by a casual visitor, a Basic Member, or Full Member who has not logged in, then the entry goes into the Registry of cars but the entry is not "owned " by that person. Only the Website Administrator/Webmaster can edit that record. To have a correction or edit made to an "unowned" record, send an e-mail msg to webmaster@SL113.org.
After a Full Member logs in and sees his/her name in the Orange Tab at the top of the page, when that car is added to the Registry, the logged in Full Member "owns" that record and will see an "Edit" box at the extreme Right side of that car entry in the table. This allows the "owner" to edit the car info at any time he/she logs in and goes to the Car Registry.
Pretty neat, huh? Let the Webmaster know about any problems. We have communicated directly with Ben to solve any problem.

Keep in mind that when Richard The Admin says "logged in", that in this case it has nothing to do with the Discussion Forum. If you go to the Group's Home Page at www.SL113.org (click on blue rectangular logo above), you will see the orange "tab" near the top right corner of the screen. It says "Login?". If you are a dues paying Full Member, use that to log into the main web site. This allows the added benefit in the Registry, but is also allows access to the Members page and probably other stuff.

Hello,
There have been a lot of new members register on the Forum in 2004. I wanted to remind everyone that they can enter their car in our Pagoda Registry at:
http://www.sl113.org/data/carreg/show_table.asp
Please note the formating used by the other members and try to keep it consistent. That is, use dashes in the VIN, etc. This makes sorting it by the various columns much more useful.
Enjoy!

Hello, Rodd
Is there a way to edit details already posted?

To edit your Registry entry if you are a Full Member:
Log In as a Full Member (Orange Tab at the top of the Home page). Then open the Regsitry page. The Member will see an Edit button to the right of his/her entry. (This is one of the benefits of paid Full Membership.)
Others who make an entry cannot make changes.
If you cannot edit the record, send an e-mail msg to webmaster@SL113.org with the changes and we'll do it for you.

Just out of curiosity -- have there been any consecutively produced cars found in the registry yet? (Or anything even close to consecutive?)
