I recently heard that Becker of North America in NJ. has closed. I had my radio repaired there a few years ago. Thet did a great job with it. Have spoke with Tom Mitchell and Robert Birchenough often concerning parts for the Becker Mexico radios. When I heard this recent news, I tried to call Tom, but the phone had been disconnected. Does anyone know if Becker of North America reopened anywhere? Where will we now send of Becker radios to for repair? Can anyone shed any light on this?
Another sign of the times.

No, corporate restructuring. The "Becker Auto Sound" is former employees doing what they do best--serving the old radio market.
Becker was bought by Harmon to become Harmon/Becker; now is Harmon International, and includes brands such as JBL, Infinity, dbx, and a whole lot more well known brands in the audio/sound business. OEM auto radios now is just one component of the business.
Being at ground zero of the world's automotive area (I had to add that) I've watched this unfold simply by seeing the sign changes on the local Harmon, er Becker, er Harmon International building...

Yup, not too far from me.
If they did close I know a gent in Spain who is well regarded in the Becker radio world. Hard-to-get vintage models, sales, parts, repair etc

The website listed in our "Suppliers" list is still valid: http://www.beckerautosound.com/
Nothing really has changed, same people, same excellent service.
