 ;D  I just got my car back after taking care of a few mechanical issues.  Just in time for Christmas.

I thought I would share a few pics.

Very nice combo, although for the final touch you should consider painting your black hand brake knob to ivory :D

Looks like you give it lots of TLC

And the beautiful background makes me so jealous....had 17 below in Denver for the last few days and snow!

I disagree strongly, Shaun.
Ivory-colored handbrake release knobs with the 198 427 xx22 parts number were only used on very early 230 SLs. Therafter it was replaced for all pagodas by the black 113 427 00 22 push button. Change  was in late 1963 or early 1964.
Therefore, painting a late 230ies  brake button into ivory (not white !!!) is "pimp-my-car".

Well, well.  If the original 230SL was available with an ivory brake button then even a purist should have no objections if it is put into in a later 230SL.  Perhaps M-B had no more ivory buttons left to install?  ;D

Thank you for all of the nice comments.  ;D  This is a truly great site with members that I look foreward to hearing from.

The ivory brake button is an interesting subject.  I would like to see a picture of an interior with the matching steering wheel, brake button and shift knob.  Anybody??

As for the tail lights, I had all red ones but one was original and cracked when I tried to fix it (all of the lights didn't work)  The other one had a new lens glued in but there were gaps and no seal around the light.  So a few buck to the Classic Center and I had two brand new lights with seals that works perfect.  Since you will notice that my soft top is a silver blue instead of the original black I flunk the "original" test anyway.

So I guess you would probably frown at my windscreen, huh? ;)  (Which, by the way, works great!)

No, not me.  ;) :D
I like the wind deflector A113 860 00 74 or equivalent (for long traveling or etc.) as well !
