Title: Expansion Tank Hose Bracket? (Routes hose over alternator)
Post by: GermanCarScottsdale on November 26, 2009, 00:01:33
Hello All-
Did a quick search but didn't see anything on this (unless it's called something else!).  I've seen photos of a bracket or guide that routes the hose from the expansion tank to the top of the radiator safely over the alternator.  I can't remember where I saw the photos.  Anyone know where I can find photos of this and/or where to get the part?  Thanks for any help!  Car is a '68 280SL.
Mike

Hi Mike,
it s all here, part number and where to get it -  provided Dave Gallon still has one because it is a NLA part:

Thanks for the link, I should have explained better, but I need the clip/bracket that seats on the alternator for a car with A/C (toward the front).  Must look similar to that, but not quite the same.  Needs to be an A/C car.  Thanks-

The Frigiking parts list shows it as a 1/2 inch clamp (info provided by Dave Gallon).
But since A/C is an aftermarket item you can use whatever you like.  As shown in the picture there are a number of variations on the clamp style and also the routing that were used.
Hope this helps.
