My Pagoda is 40 this month. The other women in my life also have birthdays this month; My beautiful wife turned 56, My Daughter is 28, my mother in law will be 73. And my father in law will be 78; not one of the women. I bought something for everyone except for my car; but it is about time to put it away for the winter and I will give it an oil change.

Happy Birthday to all, Although If it were my 40th Birthday I would expect more than an oil change :D

The one I just bought last weekend is too 40 this month. It is a late '69 model. How to tell month if I don't have the data card? Are there by-month ranges somewhere?
-
I remember reading the month-by-month ranges in a book somewhere.
You can get your datacard from the MB Classic Center with just a phonecall (or email). They'll simply email you a scanned copy.

The Technical Manual has Month of Production information.
Go to Data Cards and Codes, then Production Statistics, then look in the column for your model, look down to where the last 6 digits of your VIN belong to find the Month and Year of production.
Don't be surprised if the Production Year is not the same as the Model Year of your car. Model Years started as early as August...a car built in October 1968 could have been sold as a 1969 model car.

Mine went through it's 40th last month. All it got was a new fuel gauge and a bit of a touch up on the inner wing.
The car, on the other hand...... :o :o

Hope you all have a super B-day! Mine too is a November baby ... 46 years young tomorrow -- which makes it one of the elder statesmen in our bunch I'd say...

41 years on mine....she expects no gifts, only to be driven. I wish I could say that about my wife.
