Has anyone got a photograph of a fluid flywheel that has been repaired around the rivets to cure the leak.

Hello Eric,

I have done it but have no photo of the repair.  I welded  around the hub seam and around each rivit.  Using a tig welder is best. Pressure test when finished and be careful when welding it the fluid vapors inside will ignite and come out the center hole like a blow torch. Don't ask me how I found out about that.  : )
Fortunately eye brows grow back!

Hello Joe,
Thank you for the information, have you ever tried silver solder?
It would probably penetrate under the rivets.
While i have the transmission front housing removed i would like to change the oil seal and O ring
How is the oil seal housing removed(do i have to remove the front ally: ousing

Hello Eric,

Never tried silver solder but have brass welded them with a torch also.  The front seal can be removed and replaced easily, however the O-ring around the front pump requires removal of the front transmission cover and then removal of the front pump.  Not too bad a job. You may want to order the front cover gasket also.
