I received an email from the Dean of a NY Vocational School about a project 113 SL they had acquired and were going to restore in their Automotive Technology Class.
I provided the names of some 113 vendors and I am posting some photos of the project as it progresses.
The Deans's name is Tom and his email is: mactri3@yahoo.com. I also have his phone # and can pm.
I have also contacted the MBCA Educational Foundation to inquire about the possibility of a grant as well.
Pls feel free to contact Tom if you can provide technical advice or are in the area and can show your car .

who gets the car once it's done?? ;D

The car was purchased by myself and my Dad, I pay for everything and get to keep the car. I also have to feed the kids pizza on a weekly basis. The work is a bit rough, which means this car will have to be painted professionally.
It started with a 1987 pickup truck a few years and has progressed from to a Land Rover and now to the SL. My Dad always wanted a 280SL and after I ran out of money restoring and converting the Land Rover he suggested a Mercedes.
Advice will be greatly appreciated, but in order to drive the car again I have to pay for all parts and extra myself.
