Title: Overhauling powersteering box
Post by: Eminent on September 19, 2009, 13:02:07
When i bought my W108 the previous owner give me a spare powersteering box also (which is pretty much the same as for the Pagoda, i think).
Now i think about overhaulin' it. Did anyone here do this before? Is it worth to overhaulin' it? Is there a repairkit available for it?
Well, lots of questions, hope to get some answers or tips.
Thanks.
Rini.

Oops. I think i'm wrong when asking for overhauling the steeringpump. I ment part number 4 as shown in the attachement.
But i don't know how you guys name that part.

That is the power steering box. I've never performed the overhaul, but things are quite specialized in there. I think there may be a few threads on the topic somewhere here, so search for it.

Thanks. I edit my posts and the header to avoid confusion.
Gonna spent some hours searching this forum soon.
Thanks again.

I am overhauling mine right now, (current project) it began leaking from the oring around the round nut. All the mechanical components appear fine, just a new seal kit needed.
