I found these posters offered somewhere on the internet: http://www.gridindustrialdesign.com/7155/14401.html
Would people be interested if I tried to do a Pagoda SL Club deal with these people for a 60x90cm (24"x36") poster for the W113? The original price is not cheap, $120 for that size poster.

Peter, about their pricing. From what I can gather these are printed by the giclee method, which is a one-by-one large-format inkjet method used for fine-art reproduction. This kind of printing can run about $10-$20 a square foot depending on the paper used...I don't think they are getting rich on this.

Something is fishy here - - - I purchased a slightly modified version of this poster at the Irvine,CA Classic Center two months ago for only $ 35.00.
The one I purchased has the identical artwork though it is smaller (20 x 28), it also is on high quality stock and it has no text fields cluttering it up.

For what it's worth, they have those posters on display at my local Mercedes dealership (Estate Mtrs in Golden's Bridge, NY), so I'm assuming the Classic Center sells them.

Assume nothing fishy, but I am only guessing here. It is quite possible that the owner of the poster had a run of these printed by offset--that would be standard 4/C printing used for most posters, you know the ones you see in Target, WalMart, etc. These would be the inexpensive ones. Once those were sold or otherwise exhausted subsequent posters are one-off ink-jets, or giclee. These are considerably more expensive to produce; more expensive to sell; are generally of significantly higher quality, and signed I believe. I don't know this to be fact, but this same scenario has been done before.

I'm sorry, all. I've been a little too busy to pick this one up.
If someone else wants to go run with this company, contact them, and try and negotiate a bulk purchase, go ahead.
