Title: Gun metal Grey

Hi I have just purchased a lovely Gun metal grey 280 SL Pagoda 1970  . I have found out it was originally red
can anyone let me know if Gun metal grey was a color they were produced in ?  or is it a personal color some one would choose ? it looks very stunning either way !!!
