Title: another stupid mistake!!!!

Don't do this!!!  While replacing my spare tire into the trunk and trying to place it properly on to the tiedown, I leaned my knee against the back of the car for leverage.  Thinking I was against the bumper and with out looking, I was actually leaning my right knee against the right rear light.  It was just enough weight and pressure to crack it wide open. :'( 
I guess my next step is to post on "Want to Buy".

Very unfortunate.  I think that MB only sells that lens w/ the assembly (front and back).

Put it on ebay...you'll get $150--200

Plenty of folks lloking for budget fixes....who have no tailllights or terrible chrome
