Title: Chrome trim replacement

Bent the chrome trim just under the side window, don't even ask how I did it. Pure stupidity
Where do I get a replacement from?

Got mine from them.  Not cheap, especially the shipping cost.  Or Ebay, but I don't see this part for sale very often. 

There is another supplier in Germany, names starts with an N but can't remember full name.  I'm sure someone here will know...

Have you tried Thomas at www.pagodenteile.de ? If your German is not so good you can use Google translate, it's good enough to get by, else email him.  Very good stock, advice and service.  I bought a second hand soft top frame from him for my California, and used his site for how to fit it.  He was going to bring the gear to Scotland himself! but it was too big for checking in.

Rafik,

There is a rechromer out at Dandenong called Vinneys Bumper repairs who can easily fix the piece and rechrome it for probably less that $100. He does a lot of the hot rodders work and does excellent work on repairing dinged chrome and did all the chrome on my car.

Repair / rechrome is your best option unless you are trying for a show car. The part is still available from Mercedes, 113 728 01 30 (same for either door). Suggested MB USA list is $300.

Just make sure you have someone that has used them and can recommend them as some of the repairers do a lousy job and not worth the effort.
