Title: Is rust on rear wheel brake cylinders inevitable?
Post by: seattle_Jerry on June 29, 2009, 08:24:25
I just got new brake cyclinders and both came new with some rust. Is it inevitable that they will get rusty on the car anyway because of the brake fluid?

I'm just trying to decide how crazy I want to be...killing rust on the parts and repainting...or just installing them.

Hello Jerry,

Can't hurt to use a little paint. At least  you'll sleep better knowing the rust is not at work!
