When the car has been sitting for af few days its very hard to start up. It sometimes only starts on 2 cylinders and after a minut or so 2 more starte up and finaly later the last 2.
Once the car has been driving on all 6, it start up right away on all 6 for half a day, more than that it starts up on 4...
I have been adviced to apply an engine cleaner substance into to the gastank and drive it through untill the tank is emty. I am now half way through the tank, but i dont see any sign of emprovement.
Any suggestions to what might need to be fixed?
kind regards
Jakob

Hard to start the car when cold indicates the cold-start valve (CSV) might be faulty. There are many articles about this, so search through the forums.
The 2-then-4-then-6 cylinder running issue sounds like your injection pump check-valves might have slow leaks. These check-valves sit on top of the injection pump, where the injector fuel lines begin. They keep fuel from leaking back into the pump so that re-starts are easier and smoother. Once all the lines get charged back up (by the re-started injection pump) all the cylinders run as normal. The check-valves may be repairable. Again, search through forum archives for more information.

Good for you as the cold start valve is quite expensive...

Hello Jakob,
Place a 12 volt test lignt or a volt meter on the Cold Start Valve wire during a cold engine start. It should activate. Next, the enrichment solenoid on the injection pump (if you IP has one) should also activate during cold starts. Check these two inems first.
