My wife decided I was not happy enough with just the one I got recently, so she went ahead and got me another one for my 34th Birthday!
Best of all, it was a complete surprise and I was not even aware until it was rolled in, personalized plates included!
Here it is ;D :
You can see it below...
Just a bit more...

I was only able to take the top off when a friend asked to test it... unfortunately, he had a bit of an accident and produced significant damage, which you can appreciate on the picture below. It will be in the fridge... errrr, I mean, the shop for the next few days to sort out a way to fix it ;)

Please feel free to move the topic to the Off Topic forum if necessary, after all, it is a bit SL related... maybe we should we ahead and start changing total production numbers?
Regards,

Congratulations. I know you are not meant to inspect gifts too closely, but I hope that your pre-acceptance inspection noticed that:
- it had a little mishap at the left front fender (or the notches are a tad big)
- the bodywork is a bit of a cross-over between a gullwing and a pagoda
- it has a permanent hardtop attached (i.e. no softtop)
- the windscreen is missing the sekurit badges. In fact, they are a bit opaque
I'd pass on this one. Better ones are to be had for not a lot more money... then again, they probably are not as sweet! ;D

Rust free, hopefully!
I know of a good shop here that will pay for shipping if yours can't fix it. ;D

Looks like 462 H Tunis beige metallic. Very nice. :)

A truly rust-free Pagoda. And I'm glad to see that it has the correct headlights, unlike most for sale!!!! Although it has no rust, I assume that by now there are "chunks" that have been taken away from it and it has become a "parts car" at best. I would like the part on the corner with a headlight please -- it looks very tasty.

But dont you think the paint looks "caked" on?
Looks like 462 H Tunis beige metallic. Very nice. :)

Nice, but doesn't hold a candle to the original.

You sure are a lucky man!

The undercoating oozing off

It goes without saying, you can have the cake and eat it too!

Oh, I get it now........ This the 5 speed you turned down. Silly me, I should have seen this sooner.

I just got another SL for my 30th anniversary at work.

Congrats, it looks impressive. I hope you haven't eaten any of it!
