The car which is normally difficult to start, won't catch and run. I can turn it over and it starts to bite and chug but will not run. We looked at the cold start and it works, all the plugs are clean, there is good spark and the fuel is running well. The fuel pump is only a year old and sounds great. What next before having it towed to the shop?

Some random suggestions:
- Spark plugs may be clean, but are you getting good sparks from all plugs?
- Are the spark plug wires connected in the correct order?
- Have you inspected the distributor?
- Sometimes, if the injector lines have been disconnected, it takes many many cranks for the injection pump to refill them with fuel.
- Are you getting good compression in all the cylinders?

Hello,
Add some more fuel to the fuel tank. If you have sediment in the tank the car will starve for fuel when it gets down to about 1/2 tank of fuel.

For what its worth, If you have am M129 engine, some otheres too, the crankshaft markings for timing will probably br dual and about 30 degrees apart. If you static timed it with the wrong set, you could find yourself where you are. Ensure you are timed correctly.
