I had an opportunity to snap this photo today. Two great old cars.

Is that your beauty on the left?

Why yes it is - thank you.

I got to drive both of them that day, and I must say the sedan was glorious. It felt as if I was royalty driving it.

My dear fellow

Royalty don't drive. They are driven. You must have felt as if you were royalty's chauffeur driving it ::) ;)

(to be read in the accent of an english upper class twit (think Colin Firth))

Was it as big as it looks?

Oh yes, its giant in comparison with our 113's.

The royalty feel came into play as I drove it because the hood is soooo long when looking out the windshield, and the emblem way out there on the grill is standing so proud & straight. It was like I was at the head of the parade.

It was/is a giant car in more than size.

Agreed. Are those wheels original? They look more like 80s wheels.

Good eye!

This customer did update the wheels to later style, and a few other bits as well - just to make the car more user friendly / modern.

I thought so. That is one of my favorite styles of wheel from MB.

It's lovely on the 560SEC, except of course if you had the money for the AMG package.
